Experience & Expertise
Steve is an independent health and safety consultant within the live and corporate events industry. His company
Steve Kearney Consulting (SKC) Ltd provides H&S advice, consultancy and training to some of the most respected
providers and suppliers to the live and corporate sector.
He joined one of London’s most prestigious lighting and production companies in 1997 as Operations Manager
with responsibilities for crew, logistics and health & safety. He was approached by another production company in
2000 to head up group H&S and operations where he continued in the role until 2004 when he jointly set up a
health and safety consultancy providing health and safety services to the corporate event industry.
Steve branched out on his own in 2006 and set up SKC Ltd aiming to provide health and safety services across a
broader spectrum of disciplines within the industry. These include live production, arena/festival, TV, film and of
course corporate and private events – where his knowledge, experience and expertise in the field of event health & safety is un-paralleled.
Steve has devised and written a number of training courses aimed specifically at the events industry and these
courses have provided industry professionals with the necessary knowledge to confidently dispense their duties
with both moral and legislative compliance.
